My sisters and I were always dressing up and having “photo shoots”. It was one of our most favorite pass times growing up. I never really thought seriously about being a photographer until a man my husband and I endearingly call Uncle Ray saw some potential and wanted to invest in a good camera for me as long as I, in return, became the photographer for his Southern Gospel Quartet (which my husband also sings with). So I started there, doing shots for their album cover and concerts. Slowly as I started to love it more and more, I realized this could become a career for me and I’d be totally okay with it. So I started a blog and started taking photos of anyone who would let me! I remember being so excited and so terrified when I got my first paying clients. An engagement session with a couple I’d never met. We had so much fun and those are still some of my favorite images.
